Stockton Lake
Stockton Lake is a favorite among fisherman, it is home to several species of fish.  The lake has a beautiful landscape with plenty of wildlife such as deer, bald eagles, wild turkey and is a wonderful setting for bird watching.  The water is clear and clean and perfect for swimming, boating, sail bating, skiing, scuba diving and fishing. It is rated one of the top 10 sailing lakes in the United States. 
The lake is a "V" shape and covers 39 sq. miles, has 3 marinas, and 10 public use areas.  The surrounding landscape offers countless recreational oppurtunity along 298 miles of shoreline.  Stockton Lake covers 24,900 acres and was created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers after a dam was completed across Sac River in 1970.

In 1840 Hulston Mill was established.
